Princess Anne quiets hecklers as they win Christmas Tournament

Many will complain about the amount of attention shown to the Lady Cavaliers, but those complaining have yet to beat them. This group showed this weekend why they are on their way to conquering yet another state championship. First round they convincingly defeated A Carrolton team for Georgia.

Day 2 all eyes were on Princess Anne while they played St.Frances and their top 10 ESPN ranked wing Angel Reese. Lady Cavs were down at the half but they figured it out. One thing about this organization over the years is once they have a lead it is rare that they will let it go. The end result was no difference as they defeated St.Frances.

Day 3 Princess Anne faced a ranked Bishop Mcnamara team, oh boy was it a battle, but when you have a leader like Xaria Wiggins(MSU Commit) it is going to be hard to defeat this team. Bishop Mcnamara would fall short returning the Boo Williams Christmas Classic Gold Bracket Championship back home to Princess Anne.

Lets dive into this Lady Cavaliers roster a little bit. We know Xaria Wiggins, she is a stud and when you need her she will be there. Makayla Dickens three point specialist from last year is back. Mahogany Lester has embraced her bigger role this season and is making a major impact as she will make the tough rebounds, dive on the floor, making sure her teammates are in the right position, making those tough baskets in the paint, where more times then not she is not the tallest person in there. Jasha Clinton,Bryonna Ferebee,Kendra Johnson,Tiyanna James, take your pick of these sophomore guards every night one of them is stepping up and having a big game, no matter if it is making the big momentum shifting three, or coming up with the big steal to ice a game, each of these young ladies posses a special skill that any team would love to have. With all these guards Princess Anne added a young freshman "Baller" Aziaha James. She is listed at 5'9 but she plays way bigger. You look to see the flaws in a player this young, but James consistently shows you what she can do. Can she make the three, yes, can she drive to the basket in traffic, yes, can she move without the basketball, yes, can she defend yes. The list goes on as the ceiling gets higher for this freshman. Lady Cavs return F/C Jada Richardson who was suffering from injury last year but she seems to be getting back in the groove getting more and more minutes as this season goes on, but she will not be rushed back before is ready specially now that 6'3 Center Brianna Jackson has transferred over and is dominating the paint.

There is still a lot of basketball to play for these Lady Cavaliers, but trust and believe under the tutelage of Legendary Head Coach Darnell Dozier they will only get better.

My best advice to the teams tired of hearing about Princess Anne.... beat them
