More Ball Then Just Lavar in The JBA

At first everyone thought this was a joke and possibly just another opportunity for Lavar Ball to put his family's name in the spotlight, but we are a few weeks into the JBA season and this is what many basketball players needed. Many who thought about hanging up their shoes because of monetary reasons have found a way to continue to do what they love while putting a little money in their pocket without worrying about being hit with NCAA Violations. Kezo Brown has taken full advantage of his time in the JBA and now has a contract to play overseas in France. JBA has kept the dream alive for 4x Virginia High School State Champion Travis Ingram, who spent a little bit of time at Towson and was set to step foot on the campus of Hampton University this upcoming fall. Ingram who is a father to a beautiful little girl you can only imagine his worries as he fought between playing basketball, being a student, and trying to provide for his child. So why is it that the JBA is not getting more love? Is it because it is attached to Lavar Ball and the Big Baller Brand? Or is it that this is not a monopoly like the NCAA so no corporation wants to get near it because they do not see any monetary gain. So as the general public what can we do? Well we can show up to the games and support these young men as they try to make a living just like the rest of us. The JBA is expected to flop, so who will make sure that this will not be the first and last season for the JBA. Lavar and Lonzo Ball have laid the foundation, but who else will step up and keep something going that is beneficial for the community because many of these guys are one failure away from being sent back to their poverty stricken communities where we already know what the end result will be. Let us support the JBA like we support the NFL whose moral compass has never been correct.
