Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending a free Quarterback camp ran by Quarterback Architects :Carson Cutler and Tony Freeman in Chesapeake, Virginia for the middle school and high school kids. Quarterback Architects had some assistance from some past great Virginia QBs such as Corwin “Turtle” Cutler(D1 College Player) David Watford ( NFL Draft Prospect), and Phil Simms ( Seattle Seahawks). It was amazing to witness how much the kids advanced from just one camp. Phil Simms had made one adjustment to a Freshman QB from Green Run High upper body mechanics and I went from overthrowing ducks to accurate tight spirals. Certain kids had me questioning if they should be playing the QB position, by the end those who I had questions about ended up being the most accurate and powerful quarterbacks out there, because the dedication showed by Coach Carson and Coach Freeman to cater to every type of different player . I went around to listen to some of the parents and I was hearing how happy they were with bringing their kids to learn from Quarterback Architects and that every good quarterback from this area in the past 10 years has at one time or another has come in contact with either Coach Cutler or Coach Freeman. Every Quarterback was different and at this camp every style was catered to. Only thing I would want to see is after Quarterback Architects assistants leave to go to college or the NFL how will their program be ran do they have other full time coaches to come in and help? I can assure the number of kids, they coach now will go up and that is definitely too much for just two coaches. I have to say I had a great time I would definitely advise any parents or young quarterbacks who are trying to sharpen their skills look in Quarterback architects, their information is located on our locals page if you want to get in contact with them.
