Long Live Tom

Whenever Tom Brady decides to hang-up the cleats, everyone will have to start the debate to determine if he should be considered the best QB of all-time, putting him up against the greats like Dan Marino, Joe Montana, and various others. So far Tom has 4 Super Bowl titles, three Super Bowl MVPs, as well as 2 league MVPs, and is nowhere near the demise of his career, thus affording him more opportunities to receive more accolades before he retires. Some will put a few asterisks in his career due to the recent scandals that have been associated with Brady and the New England Patriots, however, you have to look at Brady’s team over the years more than the actual player himself to see how special he is. Throughout his career, Brady has never really been afforded the opportunity to be accompanied by other superstars to help him on the offense other than Randy Moss from 2007-2009, as well as Rob Gronkowski, forcing him to have to do a lot with very little. You also have to take into account the fact that the vast majority of the time Brady is playing, he was doing it without the much-needed production from the running game. Tom has always been known more for throwing receivers open, than throwing to open receiver, and if it’s not the bullet pass sticking it to receivers, then it’s the back shoulder ball. Whatever the circumstances, Brady intricately devises a plan to get the football to the right location. I digress from smothering you with statistics and will allow the film to speak for itself. Tom feels as though he has another decade of playing at a high level left in him, and if that is true, imagine all of the things he will continue to achieve, arguably making him the best QB to ever play the game. No matter if it’s Cool Tom or Psycho Tom, both are hard to hate when the big lights are on and you need someone to lead your team. We are witnessing a legend we should appreciate it while we can
